Shober’s heroics included saving Argentina’s talismanic captain Lionel Messi from a penalty shortly after Egypt had taken the lead. In this World Cup, Messi broke the records he wanted and the record he didn’t want at that instance. He became the first to miss two penalties in the same World Cup, including a penalty shootout.
